Happy Rock Park In Kansas City

This 79.8-acre park, located at NE 76th and N. Antioch, is the pride of the Gladstone Parks System. This park offers five lighted ball fields, four soccer fields, four lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, three playgrounds, restrooms, drinking fountains, and a 1.3-mile fitness trail that circles the park.

Happy Rock Trail is situated near Kansas City, Missouri, has a walking trail encompassing 1-mile loop. It features a river and is suitable for swimmers of all skill levels.

The trail is mostly used for walking, running, and nature trips and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also given the privilege to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

There are also some open areas through the woods and you can see the beautiful rivers with rocks.

 

There are two pavilions are available for rent for a picnic, birthday parties, family reunions, and group meetings, etc.

The large shelter at Happy Rock is situated on the west side of N. Antioch. It features eight picnic tables, electricity, restrooms, a playground, and a water fountain.

The small shelter at Happy Rock resides on the east side of N. Antioch Road. It features three picnic tables, restrooms, a playground, and a water fountain.

Grills are not available for use at either of these pavilions, but you are more than welcome to bring your own.

These shelters are rented in 4 hour blocks: 

• 7:00 a.m.to 11:00 a.m.

• 12:00 a.m. Noon to 4:00 p.m.

•  5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

 

All paved around the radius of park fields and has various spots to access Shoal Creek.

It looks like a new area is being built that is right next to the creek.

This trail links to the Shoal Creek trail that takes you up to the far situated Maple Woods Community College.

 

The staff there is friendly and welcoming. They walk around periodically to ensure safety. There are lockers to secure belongings, but you must provide your own lock key.

You can play activities by purchasing time per hour. They give you colored wrist bands to identify how much time you have remaining, which they announce over the intercom every hour. The games range from the obstacle course, basketball, foam jump, and dodgeball, all of which are fun. The time flew by during my stay. This is the best ever trampoline park I’ve been to get. It’s like your basic trampoline park merged with an American ninja warrior course. If you are looking for 8 miles trail, this trail is great for you!
